Sparks, Hal

Stand-up comedian, Actor, Podcaster, Radio Host, and Musician

Hal Sparks is the ultimate hyphenate - stand-up comedian, actor, podcaster, radio host, political commentator and musician. His new show Mega worldwide has grown from an initial crowd of a few dozen live chat room regulars to 5 million views to date. The show was launched at the beginning of the pandemic with what Hal calls “radical optimism,” as he set out to entertain and bring light to life’s uncertainties. Hal began his career in Chicago, as a teenager, at The Second City. From Chicago, Hal moved to Los Angeles and kept busy with a series of acting jobs including a recurring role on Night Stand and a co-starring role in a pilot for Marta Kaufman and David Crane, opposite a young Hillary Swank. He also played Zoltan in the widely loved Dude, Where’s My Car? and had a five-season run on VH1’s famed I ❤ The….series, and his career really exploded when he landed a role as the host of E!’s most popular show, Talk Soup. Hal speaks Mandarin and French, and he has committed to a disciplined martial arts practice and a healthy lifestyle for over thirty years. Hal is also a skilled close-up magician. He is a longtime advocate of the Humane Society of the United States, lending his voice to campaigns for farm animal protection and spay/neuter and speaking out against the dog meat trade.
