Title: The BestyBnB blueprint: Bridging the gap between animal welfare and social services

Description:

BestyBnB is an impact-driven, technical platform that supports Pet Advocacy Programming for both Animal Welfare and Social Services Agencies enabling them to find safe and confidential temporary housing for client’s pets until they can be reunited. The platform bridges the gap between Animal Welfare and Social Services Agencies to enable Crisis Care and Safety Net Programs where they don’t already exist and serves to enhance such Programs where they do. In this session, we will discuss how BestyBnB launched in Kansas City using the blueprint model. Joined by Vincent Medley with Human Animal Support Services (HASS), who demonstrates how partnership between Animal Welfare and social service organizations can create a pet-friendly community by increasing accessibility to services and spreading the responsibility of pet crisis care.
