Title: Paw-litics and city leadership: Insider tips you need to know to win for animals

Description:

San Antonio City Council Member Manny Pelaez is currently serving his fourth term as an elected official in the 7th largest city in the country and has been instrumental in passing local ordinances, budgets, special projects and policies that help animals. In this session, Councilman Pelaez chats with Katie Jarl, American Pets Alive's Director of Government and Policy, about the most effective ways to cut through the politics to be the most impactful and effective advocate you can be. If you have ever wanted to have a no holds barred conversation about what politicians really do (and don't) want to see when it comes to advocacy from the animal welfare community, you won't want to miss this opportunity to hear it straight from the source!

This workshop will be recorded and available on-demand for virtual and full conference registrants following the conference.
